MEGADETH Helping Set Technology Trends On ABC's 'Good Morning America'

MEGADETH's official web site has been updated with the following message:

"This morning [Dec. 29] on 'Good Morning America' [ABC-TV's morning talk show], during a segment about technology trends for 2006, MEGADETH's video [for the song] 'Train of Consequences' was played on a video iPod during the segment and teases leading up to the segment. A close-up shot of the iPod showcased the scene of the old lady hanging babies by their feet on a clothing line as the train goes past them which is also the recognizable art on the cover of [MEGADETH's] 'Youthanasia' album."

As previously reported, MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine announced at the conclusion of the band's headlining performance in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 9 that the group's current lineup — which includes James MacDonough (ex-ICED EARTH),drummer Shawn Drover (EIDOLON) and guitarist Glen Drover (EIDOLON) — will continue to record and tour under the name MEGADETH.

MEGADETH recently completed a South American tour in support of "The System Has Failed", which came out in September 2004. The latest MEGADETH release, "Greatest Hits: Back to the Start" (Capitol),entered the Billboard chart at No. 65 and has sold 125,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
